Incidence of Neck pain is rising very fast. Neck pain is not Cervical spondylitis always as is misconception in patients. Cervical pain can be due to many reasons like wrong posture, neck strain, cervical spondilitis, Cervical Radiculopathy etc. Patient can feel pain / stiffness in neck, headache or numbness in arm.

  • Prolonged desk work.

Are all Cervical pains due to cervical spondylitis ?

       No all Cervical / neck pains are not due to Cervical Spondylitis. Cervical Spondylitis is one of the causes of neck pain. It can be due to other reasons also like wrong posture, neck strain,  Cervical disc problem, Cervical Radiculopathy, or neck injury etc.

How can we ease the cervical pain:

  • Try to Keep your back and neck straight.  
  • Applying heat pad or ice pack can help in neck pain.
  • Neck exercises to strengthen neck muscles under guidance.

Clinical Observation:

I have observed that Cervical pain other than above written factors is also  triggered further by Exposure to extreme cold.  On mental level it is observed that mental stress also can trigger Cervical Pain.    

Treatment:
